setting and "bestiary"
SETTING
welcome to attlepaw!
Attlepaw is a small town surrounded by forest and greenery. It is always lush, maintained through the power of magic that allows it to flourish even in the hottest of summers. In fact, magic can be seen everywhere in the town; it keeps water fresh, fires warm and toasty, and lamps well-lit. Attlepaw is also inhabited by animals; they are aware of humans and what they look like, but rarely ever will you find one that is native to the town.
Cat Nap Cottage
Your main residence and place of employment. CNC is, unsurprisingly, owned and run by felines. It's a popular spot for many travelers and locals looking for a place to stay further out, especially those who are returning from or going on expeditions. Recently, the business has seen an uptick in visitors due to new dungeons unlocking in the area, and it cannot keep up with demand - that's where you come in to help them out!
Lodging: There are different rooms in this quaint establishment; some can hold up to 2 people, while others can hold up to 4 (or 5, for those who don't mind sleeping on couches). There are not rooms designed for solo stays, though you can hypothetically claim a two-person room for yourself if you'd really like to.
Amenities: Main amenities here are: A kitchen open from sunrise to sundown, a hot spring, a bar with a stage for live entertainment, and a quest board.
Town
Attlepaw isn't the largest place on the planet, but it's got no shortage of businesses for you to visit.
Hair Salon: What it says on the tin, though the locals like to call it a "grooming parlor". Some of the employees here might not be great at cutting human hair, so whether or not you get a good cut is anyone's guess...
Library: A library that's small but filled with books. You can find information on the creatures that roam around in the dungeons and beyond, recipes, how magic in this world works, world history...the list is endless.
Divination Station: A mysterious establishment where the shopkeeper is rumored to be able to predict the future. Whether or not you believe their predictions is up to you. Enter at your own risk.
Street Stalls: There are plenty of street stalls selling assorted goods like fruits, vegetables, candles, soaps, and clothing. These are open every day, though occasionally businesses will rotate. Typically the offerings are similar, though.
Grocery Store: For all your spices, dairy, dry goods, etc.!
